MESAB Trainee of the Year -  Carl Holmes

Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacting

Employer – Charles Parson & Co - Thomastown

RTO – Australian Management Academy

Carl will complete his Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing in June this year. Since January this year he has been Acting Supervisor for the Receiving Area at work. According to his employer, Carl has strong leadership skills which often see him filling in for jobs outside his job description areas.

His employer comments:

Carl comes in early, stays back when necessary and best of all, has developed into an effective communicator across all levels of the business. He gets things done”.

Carl’s RTO instructor also comments that Carl is an enthusiastic and hardworking student who always contributes during training sessions.

Samuel Pop  Young Industry Ambassador of the Year 2011. Employer – Chisholm Institute of TAFE . (see photo above)

After completing his apprenticeship at BOSCH, Sam stayed at the Bosch Training Centre for a year as an apprentice instructor. Currently he is employed by Chisholm Institute as a CNC Technician, where he established a CNC Prototyping Centre. Sam has been involved with the Careers in Manufacturing program for a number of years and enjoys presenting his trade to secondary school students. He is a valuable member of the Institute and works very hard to promote manufacturing and engineering at every possible opportunity.
