Christopher Wright  - Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology

Currently Christopher is working as a technical author for a company which produces training materials for the Ford Motor Company. He has completed his Advanced Diploma in Engineering with high distinctions and deferred his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering course until his current project finishes.

 Career and study plans are to:

  • complete his degree course

  • move into a management role within his current employment 

Study achievements to date:

  • qualified motor mechanic

  • Advance Diploma in Engineering 

Technical Skills:

  • extensive knowledge of automotive suspension design and development

  • CAD design

  • welding, machining, sheet metal work and automotive wiring skills 

Personal Skills:

  • has good written and computer skills

  • has teaching skills that he hopes to use when delivering material to Ford employees 

Other Achievements:

  • competed in motor sports

  • keen mountain bike rider hoping to compete in endurance races

 

 

Glen Bluschke   Certificate II in Engineering Studies RTO- Victoria University

Glen is currently in his second year at Victoria University while completing his VCE at Mowbray College. He chose the VET in Engineering course because it would provide him with the skills and knowledge to achieve employment in related industries.
Career and study plans are to:
  • complete his VCE and secure a fabrication apprenticeship
  • enroll in a TAFE/University course
  • become a manager of his own fabrication business 
Study achievements to date:
  • successfully completed year 11 at Mowbray College
  • work placement at William Adams Caterpillar in Laverton 
Technical Skills:
  • machining,
  •  welding
  • reading technical drawings 
Personal Skills:
  • good communication skills
  • good problem solving skills 
Other Achievements:
  • captain of the mens under 17 Hockey team
  • Captain, Award of performance working at McDonalds
